Democrats Mislead As Honda Brings Jobs To Ohio

By now you’ve heard the news about Honda bringing production of its new Acura NSX “supercar” to Marysville, Ohio.  And I don’t know about you, but I think this car looks amazing:

AcuraNSX

The move also means that Honda will be bringing jobs to the area, which is no small headline itself.  I would like to think that the pro-growth steps taken by Governor John Kasich & others helped lure the production of the NSX to Ohio, but since I’m not privy to the inner circles at Honda, I won’t jump to conclusions.

Of course, that didn’t stop everyone’s favorite pirate, and a guy so smug he doesn’t even live in the district he represents, ODP Chairman Chris Redfern from jumping all over this, crediting President Obama:

“Governor Kasich refused to support the auto rescue but showed up at a press conference to highlight its effectiveness anyway.”

Maybe I missed something, but Honda wasn’t a part of that bailout.  In other words, Redfern is touting money that went specifically to Honda’s competitors.

Honda did things the right way, budgeted their resources correctly and made it through the recession without government assistance, all while President Obama was passing out money like candy to help those companies that compete for Honda’s market share.  And yet Honda is supposed to be happy about that?

Honda is the 16th largest employer in the state—and third among companies in the ever-crucial manufacturing sector—providing roughly 13,500 jobs to hardworking Ohioans.  And they got there without having their hands out to the so-called “auto rescue,” despite what Redfern and his liberal friends would have you believe.

Then again, with his party’s President was immersed in not one, not two, but three separate scandals that threaten to derail the Democrat agenda, it’s no wonder Redfern is deflecting.
