Ed Fitzgerald has tried running on lots of different issues during his ridiculous campaign.
The “War on Women” theme hasn’t worked out too well. He’s losing among women 52-39, according to the latest Quinnipiac poll.
The “win tax” fell pretty flat.
Where Ed is really getting killed, though, is among men by a whopping 31 points.
Maybe Ed should declare himself Ohio’s champion for men! So says a man from Shaker Heights who wrote this letter to the Plain Dealer:
The Democratic Party is wasting a powerful campaign issue. Gubernatorial candidate Ed FitzGerald is a champion of men’s rights. Following his leads, every man has the right to be out with an attractive female until the next morning and no one should ever doubt his integrity.
The requirement of a driver’s license makes a man feel old and responsible, while Ed FitzGerald’s pioneering efforts to maintain his carefree youth with a boyish learner’s permit lets a man have fun.
This election could turn around if FitzGerald ran on his principles. What man would vote for a stodgy old Republican who would keep his nose to the grindstone while a vote for Ed could permit a man to do everything he wished without penalty.
