You’ve chosen your most vulnerable deficiency as your primary campaign message.
Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Lee Fisher said he would focus on “jobs, jobs, jobs” for Ohio and said the current administration isn’t being aggressive enough in that department.
First off, we’ll ignore Fisher’s swipe at the Obama Administration. That’s for later.
But this focus on jobs highlights one of the reasons why Lee never won statewide office with his name leading the ballot.
He sucks at campaigning.
“Jobs, jobs, jobs.”

From January of 2007 until February of this year, you were Ted Strickland’s Director of the Department of Development. On the Governor’s website, that job responsibility is defined as such:
Development promotes economic opportunities to improve the profits and prosperity of Ohio’s citizens. The Department acting in a support role provides financial, informational, and technical assistance to those making an investment in Ohio’s future.
In other words, Lee Fisher was Ohio’s Jobs Czar for over two years.
So, how did he do?
Well, when Fisher started, unemployment was at 5.3%.
When he left, that rate had jumped by 77%.
And overall under the Strickland/Fisher Administration we’ve seen 328,400 Ohioans lose their job.
Ohio, is that someone you want developing policy to solve the jobs crisis?
