Sherrod Brown invokes Nazis against his Jewish opponent, Josh Mandel

Sherrod Brown is up to his old tricks.

Remember last year when he compared GOP governors John Kasich, Scott Walker and Chris Christie to Hitler and Stalin?

“As a nation, I look back in history and some of the worst governments we’ve ever had, you know one of the the first thing they did? They went after the trade unions,” he said. “Hitler didn’t want unions, Stalin didn’t want unions. [Former Egyptian President Hosni] Mubarak didn’t want independent unions.”

To quote fellow blogger Jason Hart, Sherrod Brown claims he’s not comparing Kasich, Walker, and Christie to Hitler, Stalin, and Mubarak in the middle of comparing them to Hitler, Stalin, and Mubarak.

Months later, he apparently forgot that it was videotaped, because he actually had the audacity to deny it on MSNBC.

Well, he’s done it again, this time in a campaign ad. From the Washington Examiner:

Senator Sherrod Brown’s campaign issued a new attack ad Friday against his rival, Republican Josh Mandel. In it, the Ohio Democrat accuses Mandel of using the “big lie” strategy in his campaign. The term “big lie” was coined by Adolf Hitler and is commonly associated with Nazi propaganda.

Mandel is Jewish.

This isn’t the first time Ohio Democrats have hurled anti-semitic comments against Josh Mandel. A year ago, Justin Barasky, who is now Sherrod Brown’s communications director, implied that Mandel tolerates Naziism. Knowing how Sherrod loves to compare his opponents to Hitler, it now makes perfect sense that Brown hired him.

Sherrod Brown continues to show that he will say anything to keep his Senate seat. Even comparing his opponents to Adolf Hitler isn’t off limits. Ohio voters need to send him packing and elect Josh Mandel, who is committed to changing Washington and bringing jobs back to Ohio by repealing Obamacare, fighting for a balanced budget amendment and taking advantage of the vast energy assets Ohio has at home. Let’s hope enough of them are tired of Sherrod Brown’s shameful comparisons.
