So, Chris Redfern, are unions now f***ers, too?

Almost three years ago, Ohio Democratic Chairman Chris Redfern and pirate fanatic Chris Redfern made news when he dropped the F-bomb in an angry rant. Who did he describe as “these f–kers”?

People who opposed Obamacare. The press described it as a rant against the tea party, but he was clearly talking about anyone who opposed the law.

It’s ironic that Chris was calling Obamacare opponents f–kers in a union hall, because it turns out that many unions have now joined us in the f–ker brigade.

Several unions have now come out in opposition to the law because it is now clear that Barack Obama was lying when he said, “If you like your current plan, you can keep it.”

The latest, and biggest, show of disapproval came Friday, when three unions, including the Teamsters, signed a letter to Democrats in Congress.

The roll out of President Obama’s health care reform package was always going to be tricky, with vehement opposition from his political opponents and pushback from employers large and small. But after announcing last week that penalties for companies failing to comply with the law will be delayed by a year, the Affordable Care Act has a new, high profile set of dissenters: Unions.

The leaders of three major U.S. unions, including the highly influential Teamsters, have sent a scathing open letter to Democratic leaders in Congress, warning that unless changes are made, President Obama’s health care reform plan will “destroy the foundation of the 40 hour work week that is the backbone of the American middle class.”

If that’s not bad enough, the Affordable Care Act, if not modified, will “destroy the very health and wellbeing of our members along with millions of other hardworking Americans,” the letter says.

Forgive me if I don’t shed a tear for these guys. As Ed Morrisey of Hot Air writes, the consequences of Obamacare were entirely foreseeable. In fact, Republicans pointed out these flaws many times.

Nevertheless, now that America’s major unions have come out and declared Obamacare to be destructive, one question remains to be answered by Mr. Redfern.
