The city auditor may have broken Ohio’s nepotism law when she hired her son in 2005, according to a letter from the Delaware County Prosecutor.
Paul Hecht, son of City Auditor Kathy Hecht, earned $7,000 interning for the auditor’s office during 2005, according to documents provided by Jesse Hathaway, a local Republican blogger.
The Auditor, a Democrat, is the second Dem in Athens to come under the microscope. The first, of course, was now former Dem County Chair, Susan Gwinn.
