Fitzgerald draws 6 people in Lorain

Ed Fitzgerald was drawing pathetic crowds before. But it’s August and campaigns are in full swing. If the size of crowds at your campaign stops are getting lower, you have a serious base problem.

Yesterday, Fitzgerald visited Lorain, a city dominated by Democrats. He spoke to six people. At the Democratic Party headquarters.

“It was a mistake,” FitzGerald said to about a half-dozen people at the Lorain County Democrats headquarters. “I was careless. I corrected it, but it took too long to correct it. I have no excuse for it.”

SIX.

He also made a stop in Bowling Green. At least he roughly tripled his audience there.

FitzGerald, whose campaign has been engulfed in controversy for a week because of his personal actions, answered questions for 25 minutes after speaking to a crowd of about 20 at Grounds for Thought coffee shop here.

Meanwhile, on the same day, check out the crowds who came out to see Governor Kasich.

In Bryan.

In Lima.

In Bellefontaine.

There was a serious enthusiasm gap in this race, and the revelations about Fitzgerald’s character only made it worse. These photos are proof.

Fitz has a serious issue with a depressed base. And it is likely to bring down the entire Democratic ticket in Ohio.
