Ohio celebrates the Baltimore Orioles!

No, not the baseball team.

The bird.

Earlier this week, Ted Strickland and ODNR unveiled the Ohio Wildlife Legacy Stamp.

And here it is.
Yes, the stamp costs $15.
Yes, it highlights a bird most commonly associated by the entire United States with the awful MLB team that plays at Camden Yards…..in Maryland.

Now, I know the Oriole is indigenous to Ohio. That’s fine. But so are a whole lot of other species of wildlife that aren’t immediately associated with a crappy baseball team 420 miles east of the Statehouse.

Is it all a big deal? No. Is it annoying? Yes.

What’s my recommendation? The Buzzards of Hinkley.

Damn right.
