Wow. Just. Wow.
This was the scene yesterday during and just after yesterday’s Obama rally in Cleveland.
Fortunately, only 683 Democrats voted early yesterday in Cuyahoga County. That’s down 86% from the 5000 a day that were voting in the final days in 2008.
But that doesn’t mean this isn’t shady politics. Is it illegal? Maybe. Maybe not. Outside of the Obama event, Ohio Democratic Party volunteers were telling Obama supporters to go early vote and get some free food. That sounds to me like offering something of value in exchange for a vote. That’s illegal. It reminded me of the $5 given to Democrat volunteers to get out the vote in Athens County just last year. Back then Chris Redfern scolded the Athens Dem Chairwoman for such a practice. Now he embraces it.
At the very least, this needs brought to the Ohio Elections Commission soon after this election is over.
This is what we’re up against, folks.
Let’s beat them.
