Ted likes giving presents.

Strickland has been in the Christmas spirit of giving as of late.

But he didn’t pay for the gifts.

While I’m still blocked from following him on twitter, I still was able to review his latest tweets.

As of last night, the Governor had posted four tweets since November 20th. (sidebar: four tweets in 17 days? way to really utilize social media, person who manages Ted’s twitter account!)

Of those four, three are about Strickland awarding $61 million in federal stimulus dollars to different industries in the state.

In other words, the Obama Administration is calling up Ted’s press office and telling him to take credit for giving money that isn’t even state sponsored.

Now, you may wonder what I’d prefer to see on a Governor’s twitter account.

Well, how about the posts provided by Mitch Daniels of Indiana, where he regularly updates his constituents on the hordes of new companies coming to the Hoosier state to do business.

In fact, going back a couple months, not one of his tweets highlight Daniels taking credit for federal dollars being spent in Indiana.

And why are these jobs coming to Indiana? Is it because of the stimulus dollars being doled out by the federal government?

No.

It’s because going back to 2006, Indiana has had a consistently positive business tax climate index. Most recently, they were ranked as having the 12th best in the nation, and the best in the Midwest.

Oh, what it must be like to have a good Governor.

I can’t wait for a new day and a new way.
