Two Months Out…

Guest posted by Jed Eckert.

With just about 60 days to go, Rasmussen shows that Strickland’s attacks couldn’t be less effective… in fact, they probably are backfiring.

The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Kasich picking up 47% support while Strickland draws the vote from 39%.

When leaners are included in the new totals, Kasich’s lead grows to 12 points. With the leaners, 52% favor Kasich, and 40% are for Strickland.

It’s going to be tough to see how the Strickland camp will try to make up all the lost ground they’ve accumulated over the past few weeks. After blowing their attacks so early in the summer when no one was paying attention and then proceeding to slime an Ohio business and its employees, they’ve shown a scorched Earth campaign isn’t beneath them… nor is it working.

Oh yea, and one more thing: We are now less than 2 weeks away from the first debate.
