11 days ago, in light of the Mark Sanford and Tim Kaine concerns about their whereabouts and the public having access to the schedules of their elected officials, I decided to e-mail Ohio Gov. Strickland’s press secretary…
I currently manage an Ohio-centric political blog. In light of Mark Sanford’s situation, what is the policy of the Governor in releasing his schedule?
Where can it be accessed, when is it released, etc.?
The next day she responded…
We generally release the governor’s schedule of public events on Fridays for the upcoming week.
Immediately I wrote back…
Great. Thanks for getting back to me, Amanda.
Would it be possible for me to be added to the list that receives this announcement?
Also, if there are changes to the schedule, how is that updated?
Then again 6 days ago…
Just following up on this request. Any update?
And again 17 minutes ago…
Any update on this request? Thanks.
Go figure how difficult it is for a private citizen to find out how the hell an elected official spends his time, eh?
So Governor Strickland, where exactly do you go each day? And why am I ignored when I want to find out?
