myles1You may have already heard about Myles Eckert, a little boy from Toledo who has never met his father.

If not, grab a tissue, and watch this video, all the way to the end.

On Friday, Myles had the honor of joining Governor Kasich at the Statehouse to honor our fallen soldiers. He helped the governor lay a wreath in remembrance.

We all enjoy the extra day off this time of year. But its important to also remember the purpose of this day.

Our freedom comes at a cost.

It’s a cost that Myles and his mom remember every day.

We owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of men and women who have given their lives in service of our country.

Myles Eckert knows what Memorial Day is truly about. May we never forget it ourselves.
