This is only a couple of hours before Redfern realizes that not only did his entire statewide ticket get crushed by double digits, but that he himself was voted out of his own Ohio House seat.
It’s the video where he insists he will remain chairman, hours before announcing his resignation while proclaiming that his organization is the *snicker* strongest party in the country.
If you haven’t seen it yet, Chris Redfern once again blamed the media for the fact that:
1. He can’t get Democrats to care about voting in midterm elections.
and
2. He can’t convince them to come out and vote for his horrible candidates.
The Plain Dealer said this about Redfern’s tirade:
Democrats deserved more from Redfern than a sniveling rant on his way out. A real leader would have apologized for his role in the Tuesday night trouncing. A real leader would have taken the blame.
A real leader would not have joined the throng of FitzGerald bashers the way Redfern did late in the campaign when he spoke ill of the candidate to The New York Times.
In resigning, Redfern had the gall to state. “It has been an honor and a privilege to build what I believe to be the strongest state party in the country.”
Of all the delusional comments FitzGerald may have uttered, none is more delusional than that ludicrous assessment from Redfern Tuesday night.
